 Rosselot Lake & Palena River
The lake is located 280 km north Coihaique and 170 km. south Chaitén. Is a long lake with high slope cost wich avoids form windy weather permiting to fish any weather condition. River Figueroa and Bordalí runs to the lake and its run to the Rosselot river, which joins Palena river 12 km. down making a veri important river. In La Junta (Join of the two rivers) there are very comfortable accomodations with support for fishermen. ¿How to reach?Trough Carretera Austral, long gravell way from Chaitén (by airplane to Puerto Montt and then small plane to Chaitén) or Coihaique (by airplane to Balmaceda). ¿How and where fishing? In lake Rosselot there are many rainbow trout up to 4 kg. it is possible to fish from boat from the west side or in Figueroa river where a small beach is formed. Bordalí river is diffult to reach because it is located at the end of the long lake and we had never gone yet. Landscape is wonderfull. |
